Edward R. Quinn

President and Chief Executive Officer

Value Delivered
Ed brings to his position nearly 30 years of successful leadership in the mechanical and service industries. As CEO, he sets the company's strategic direction, oversees its revenue and profitability growth, identifies significant opportunity areas, and establishes appropriate organizational structures and policies. He also directs long- and short-term planning activities, enabling the company to effectively address ongoing market requirements and respond to new industry directions.

Expertise
Ed joined Fluidics in 1979, becoming vice president and a member of the executive management staff in 1981. Under the firm's former management, he became a partner and executive vice president in 1986. The current management named him president and chief executive officer in 1998. It's a career that reflects a long history of significant contributions to the company's growth and development.

For instance, Ed built one of the largest service divisions in the tri-state area. A totally computerized multi-million dollar operation that provides HVAC, electrical and plumbing services, it is certified to perform air and water balancing. Ed also developed the division's strong middle-management team, a significant factor in the growth of the organization's unrivaled reputation for quality and excellence.

Furthermore, Ed has been instrumental in developing Fluidics' strong, stable sales force. Unmatched in the tri-state area, it uses a variety of sophisticated management approaches, including automated sales reporting, computerized hit-rate-by-salesperson and purchase order systems, and advanced service agreement estimating procedures.

Ed has added a number of other important capabilities, too, including electrical services, sheetmetal installation, building operations, and energy and indoor air quality management. He also created the three operating divisions - service, retrofit and construction, and onsite facilities services.

In addition to being past president of the Institute of Operating Engineers, Ed was president of the Service Contractors of Delaware Valley and the Mechanical Service Contractors of America. He is also a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association, International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, Association of Physical Plant Administrators, Institute of Real Estate Management and the Hospital Engineers Association of Delaware Valley.

Ed is a graduate of the Mellon Financial Institute, the Philadelphia Wireless Institute, and the Mechanical Contractors Association of America's Total Quality Management Institute. He has also taken courses in sales and marketing at Villanova University and studied business law at Montgomery College. He has completed the Steamfitters Local #420 apprenticeship program and is certified as an energy auditor in Pennsylvania.

The Personal Side
Ed is married with three children and five grandchildren. He enjoys theatre, golf and fishing.
