Bob is responsible for the strategic planning and operation of Fluidics' field service dispatch team, ensuring that it responds effectively and meets customers' most exacting standards and rigid specifications. In the process, he handles customers' calls, organizes work schedules, dispatches service personnel, and coordinates efficient movement between and among jobsites. He also reviews field, contract productivity, and materials expended reports, and follows up on completed assignments. In addition, he is responsible for purchasing parts and materials, monitoring and maintaining field equipment and tools, providing safety and new product/services training, and pricing service requests and maintenance contracts. He also coordinates office support processes, and plans and implements procedures that improve Fluidics' ability to help customers maintain the reliable, high-performance systems and facilities they need to succeed in today's competitive business environment.
Expertise
Bob joined Fluidics in 1995 as a service technician, servicing and maintaining a full range of centrifugal, absorption, and reciprocating air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment. He also helped develop labor estimates for both service contracts and quoted service work.
Over the years, Bob has added to his extensive on-the-job expertise through an active ongoing education program. After attending Camden County Vocational & Technical School in New Jersey, he continued his technical training at the Fuel Merchants Association Energy Institute, and the Trane Heat Pump and Centrifugal Overhaul schools. He also took Allied Signal's microturbine generator operation and installation course, York's directed fired absorption course, and the Community College of Philadelphia's American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) basic design course.
To supplement his technical training, he has taken a variety of management courses at Penn State University, including management skills for supervisors, organizational communications and human relations, and supervision: managing for productivity. In addition, he has completed phases 1 and 2 of the Manager's Skills Enhancement Program at Southern Methodist University, and the United Service Alliance's sales training course.
In addition to sitting on the board of the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the Servicing Contractors of America, Bob is a member of the Mechanical Service Contractors of America and the Mechanical Contractors of America.
The Personal Side
Married with 2 children, Bob spends most of his spare time helping his children develop their interests in music, sports, and community service. He also assists with marriage preparation classes at his church.
